I WAS MOST DELIGHTED WITH THE ALMOND,HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANY ONE GOING TO THE BEAUTIFUL ISLAND BARBADOES.THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS STUPENDOUS.THE ENTIRE STAFF FROM THE TIME WE ARRIVED WAS JUST FRIENDLY ,COULD NOT DO ENOUGH TO MAKE MY STAY MORE ENJOYABLE I WILL LOVE TO VISIT AGAIN IN THE NEAR FUTURE.. THIS RESORT IS THE PERFECT PLACE FOR FAMILES,,IT IS SAFE, PEOPLE FRIENDLY ENVIROMENT THEIR AIM IS TO PLEASE THEIR CUSTOMERS. THE FOOD WAS A LITTLE BORING,HOWEVER THE SERVICE WAS UP TO FINE DINING.IMPRESSED..HOWEVER I WOULD CONSIDER MYSELF AN AVID TRAVELLER.AND I WILL GIVE THIS HOTEL 4 STARS....THANKS ONLINE TRAVEL WEBSITE

This is not a 4 star hotel and it is not all new. They have refurbished the old part to a degree but no attention to detail. Food was poor. menu's changed once per week! Ok if you like to eat the same thing every day! There were only 2 toilets for the pool,beach,bar, louge and 2 restaurants.Customer service was also very poor, this came to light after an incident on the beach. The sea is very rough with stong under currents and waves.The beach is public and manned by life guards.There was nothing about this hotel that made me not want to leave at the end of my stay. Some of the guests visited the other 2 Almond resorts on the Island and did not rate them well either.

We just came back and really enjoyed our stay there. We had a deluxe ocean view room, which you can't beat. It was specious, clean with micro climate unit and right above the pool and entertainment. The only inconvenience was water pressure. It was pretty low, but it is a Caribbean, so we expected that. Resort stuff was extremely nice and helpful. The hotel location is excellent. It is 10 min walking distance from St. Lawrence Gap's restaurants, bars and island entertainment. It is also 15 min drive from the airport! Cab will cost you $ 20. Ocean was rough, but swimmable. Water had an amazing bluish /greenish color and sand was pinkish. I am not a pool person, so I stayed all the time by the ocean site. This place is kids friendly, but somehow you do not feel their presence- they have their own pool away from the main one. I was concerned about kid?s noise before we came there, but kid?s didn?t bother me at all. Food was excellent. Restaurant portions are small, but pretty delirious. You won't be hungry anyway, because you can have lunch or beach barbecue before dinner. I pretty much liked everything except spa. It is a Spa resort as well, so I think they have to hire more spa therapists, because it was impossible to get stone massage and get the spa treatment then I wanted.

FOOD bring your own theirs is harrible, no selection and very cheap. pool- small and dirty beach-waves are terrible and the sand is dirty all the time. room service- one hour notice before they will come. DONT GO DONT GO DONT GO
